I hate the term environmentalist. It doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. I like what it stands for: someone who cares about the natural world, who is mystified and awed by the complexities of nature and the chaotic and fragile balance of life on earth; but it's so damn....clunky.
I also hate organic, sustainable, green, eco - these words are so boring. These words are stuck back in the flag-burning, granola-eating, dope-smoking sixties. And as much as I like granola for breakfast and starting fires; I can't relate.
